In this County Court Judgment on the 27th May 1997, on page 9, HH Judge James says:

Mr. Holden was the Engineering Expert who gave evidence on behalf of the Plaintiff. He said and it is agreed that the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 applied to the work of an Overhead Linesman. He asked me to consider whether the Defendants were in breach of Regulations 4(1)(a) and 4(l)(b)(1) of the Regulations.

Then towards the end of the Judgment, HH Judge James says:

Having listened to the submissions made by Counsel on behalf of both Parties in this case I have reached the conclusion that the Defendants were in breach of the Regulations and were also negligent.
